I was born into a devout Catholic family that raised me in a life of faith, but it became personal for me in 8th grade when I joined a prayer group that met for praise and Adoration every Friday night. When I invited the Holy Spirit into my heart, my spiritual life radically took off.
Throughout high school I grew in the habits of prayer and study, learning more about the faith and reading the bible. I also began to give talks, lead small groups, and plan retreats.
I went to Franciscan University of Steubenville and received a BA in Catechetics with a concentration in Youth Ministry. I spent four summers working for the LEAD program for the Steubenville conferences while working during the year as a youth minister and Confirmation coordinator until I got married and started my family.
When my kids were very little, I led a Rosary Mom's group at a nearby parish for two years. After that, we began to homeschool and I worked part-time as a marriage prep instructor for Catholicmarriageprep.com and also contributed weekly to their blog.
At the end of 2019 my book "Baby and Beyond: Overcoming Those Post-Childbirth Woes" was published and I have had the privilege of speaking to moms groups and connecting with women online about the struggles and joys of motherhood.
After a break from writing to have another baby and focus on our family, I return to writing for Catholicmom.com and online at the Denver Catholic. I now plan the annual Rocky Mountain Catholic Home Educators Conference and continue to be involved in our parish in family ministry.
I believe wholeheartedly in the universal call to holiness and that God uses everything in your life to draw you closer to Him.
